Following introductory tracks 'Now You're Moving' and 'Frame of Reference', Fleet expats Drug Store Romeos have unveiled their endearing new tune 'Quotations For Locations'. Channelling the characterful, laid-back vocal style of Broadcast's Trish Keenan, singer and multi-instrumentalist Sarah Downie's melodies are pure and light, layering up at times to create sugary-sweet harmonies. Propelled by a simple yet effect keyboard sequence played on an old Casio, supporting bass guitar emphasises the subtle bounce of the track as a ticking drum machine ticks fizzily in the background. Arriving alongside an equally charming video, that takes advantage of stop motion to perform a series of magic tricks, the nostalgic clip celebrates retro nostalgia through childhood toys and games from cat's cradle to fortune telling fish.
